This printable countdown helps kids see the days go by, with one small act of kindness or gratitude to do each day from December 1 through Christmas Eve. If you’ve read Waiting for Things We Want together, it’s a nice follow-up, since counting down on a calendar is one of the ways the book shows kids how to make waiting a little easier.
Included are:
- November and December 2026 calendars, with a number on each day showing how many days are left until Christmas.
- 24 daily challenges that alternate between kindness and gratitude, like making a card for a neighbor or naming three things you’re thankful for at dinner.
- Most challenges take just a few minutes and use things you already have at home.
- A certificate to give your child on Christmas Eve.
- Black-and-white pages for coloring and full-color versions

What is your return policy?
We want every Bright Pond product to be something you and your child genuinely love. If something isn’t working for your family, we’re happy to help.
Physical products: We accept returns within 30 days of delivery. Items must be in their original condition. If you decide that a product isn’t right for you, you’ll be responsible for return shipping costs unless the item arrived damaged or defective. To initiate a return, please email support@brightpond.com. Refunds are processed to your original payment method within 5–7 business days of receiving your return.
Defective or damaged items: If your order arrived damaged, please contact us within 7 days of delivery. We'll cover return shipping and replace your purchase.
Digital downloads: All digital purchases are final sale. If you have trouble accessing your files, we're happy to help — just reach out to support@brightpond.com.

Bright Pond products are developed by founder Alison Ryan. Alison has been working with children since 2005 and is a certified elementary school teacher, reading specialist, and dyslexia specialist. She is also certified as a Positive Parenting coach.
