Practicing Patience Printable Workbook (PDF) | ages 4 to 8
Description
Does your child struggle with waiting? This printable workbook (provided in a PDF file) helps kids ages 4–8 understand what patience is, why it matters, and — most importantly — how to actually practice it.
Designed by a teacher as a "do together" experience for parents and young children, the workbook walks kids through patience-building concepts in a fun, age-appropriate way (including with "patience challenges"!).
What's inside:
- Quick lessons on what patience is and when we should use it
- Fun activities including a marshmallow waiting challenge, homemade banana "ice cream," freeze dance game, yoga poses with affirmations, and five finger breathing
- Patience Journal pages for daily reflection
- A countdown coloring page to help kids practice
- Color poster pages to display at home
- A printable Certificate of Patience upon completion
This printable social-emotional learning resource is perfect for 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 year olds who are working on self-regulation, impulse control, delaying gratification, and emotional awareness.
It pairs beautifully with the Bright Pond book Waiting for Things We Want, but also works well by itself.
Simply download, print the pages, and staple them — your child can even color the black-and-white pages as they go! (Some of the pages also include color versions, so you can print them as posters to display in your home.)
Heads up: This is a digital product (a PDF that you can download and print). Nothing will be mailed to you.
